Gymnastics Conditioning Plans

30 Mar

This website contains a free conditioning list for WAG JO program level 5/6, which can be adapted for your needs if you are a coach of many levels and also adapted for the needs of an adult gymnast. Further conditioning lists for other levels and consultations are available specifically for adult gymnastics conditioning via this page, but checking out the free list will give you a great idea on a plan to get your strength where it needs to be for success on the the four women’s artistic events. If time or energy constraints limit you, it’s fine to take the sample list and follow part of it one day, and part of it another day. Conditioning Plans

Many women come back to adult gymnastics after giving birth, only to find that their stomach muscles just aren’t what they were. If this applies to you, check out this tremendously useful article about ‘closing the gap’ naturally. Please check with your doctor before embarking on any training plan post-pregnancy. The good news is that for many women the problem is correctable. Chances are you will be able to do what you love once again with a little time invested in recovery. beautiful-young-pregnant-woman-in-beach-beautiful-pregnant-161569.jpeghttp://heidipowell.net/11122/diastasis-recti-closing-the-gap/

Undying Love for Gymnastics

13 Jan

Gymnastics is my sport. It has always been my sport, and will always be my sport. Even when I am too old to continue competing, it will still be my sport (although at 22 I have no intentions of stopping).

How do I feel when I tell people I do gymnastics?

Check out these tips on how to get motivated at practice. This article is about swimming, but just take out the word ‘swimming’ and change to ‘gymnastics.’ 🙂

“I am a stronger athlete now than I was in 1992.”

17 Nov

Oksana Chusovitina gave an interview to Championat mostly about the 1992 Olympic games. She is the only one from that team who is still competing (which probably could be said about the majority of the teams for which she competed). She then went on to talk about why she never retired (and currently has no plans to retire) and how age and experience made her a better athlete….
